The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has launched its 65th Campus Placement Programme for newly qualified Chartered Accountants, with Lucknow set to host the recruitment drive on September 25, 2026, alongside several other cities in the final phase of the nationwide placement exercise.

The placement programme, primarily meant for candidates who qualified the CA Final Examination in May 2026, has witnessed strong participation, with over 6,300 newly qualified Chartered Accountants registering to explore career opportunities through ICAIs structured recruitment platform.

In the first phase of the placement drive, 78 organisations have confirmed participation across nine major recruitment hubs, collectively notifying more than 5,300 vacancies. The institute expects additional recruiters to join as the placement cycle progresses.

One of ICAI flagship career initiatives, the campus placement programme connects newly qualified Chartered Accountants with employers across sectors such as financial services, taxation, audit, consulting, banking, manufacturing, risk management, analytics and information technology. The institute has also strengthened the recruitment process with technology enabled hiring systems to streamline recruitment for both employers and candidates.

Physical interviews will be conducted across 29 centres during August and September 2026. While major metros including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad will host interviews in August, Lucknow will conduct its placement interviews on September 25, along with centres such as Chandigarh, Bhopal, Nagpur, Patna, Rajkot, Ranchi and Vadodara.

The latest placement drive follows a successful previous campus recruitment cycle, in which over 2,500 candidates secured placements. The programme recorded a highest domestic package of Rs 27.50 lakh per annum, while the average CTC stood at Rs 13 lakh per annum, underscoring the continued demand for Chartered Accountants across industries.

Eligible candidates and recruiting organisations can access detailed information and registration updates through the ICAI Campus Placement Portal.
