UPSSSC opens 1,829 auditor and assistant accountant posts; commerce graduates get fresh government job opportunity

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced a large-scale recruitment drive for 1,829 vacancies of Auditor and Assistant Accountant, creating a significant employment opportunity for commerce graduates seeking government jobs.

The online application process will commence on July 14, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications until August 3, 2026. The last date for fee payment has been fixed as August 10, 2026.

Eligibility criteria for applicants

Candidates applying for the posts must possess a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree or a Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy. In addition, applicants are required to hold an O-Level computer certification or an equivalent qualification.

A valid UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) scorecard is mandatory for participation in the recruitment process.

Selection process based on PET performance

The recruitment process will begin with shortlisting candidates on the basis of their PET scores. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to appear for the main examination, followed by document verification for successful candidates.

The commission aims to fill the vacancies through a transparent, merit-based selection process.

Salary and age limit

Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level-5 and will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300. In addition to basic pay, employees will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other government benefits as per rules.

Applicants must be between 21 and 40 years of age. Age relaxation will be available for reserved category candidates in accordance with government norms.
