This year marks the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha. According to official data, more than 4.5 crore students have registered for the programme so far, while over 28 lakh teachers have also signed up to participate.
A key highlight of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 is its new format. For the first time, the Prime Minister will not address participants from a single venue. Instead, he will interact with students from multiple locations across the country, giving the programme a broader national reach. In previous years, the event was traditionally held at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.
The Ministry of Education shared details of the revamped format on social media platform X, stating that the new approach aims to transform the interaction into a truly nationwide experience. The ministry noted that when students from across the country directly share their concerns with the Prime Minister and receive guidance, it helps boost their confidence and enables them to view examinations as a natural part of life rather than a source of fear.
Students from Class 6 onwards, along with teachers and parents, are eligible to participate in the programme.
The live broadcast of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 will be aired on DD National, DD News, DD India, and several leading private television channels. The programme will also be streamed live on All India Radio, and the official websites of the PMO, Ministry of Education, Doordarshan and MyGov. In addition, viewers can watch the interaction on YouTube (MoE), Facebook Live, and Swayam Prabha channels.
