The institution was founded with the aim of providing modern education, particularly to Catholic students, while preserving their religion, language and culture. At the same time, the college remains open to students from all communities, regardless of religion or caste.

St. Paul’s College is affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and prepares students for ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) examinations.

Outside the classroom, equal importance is given to sports and physical training. The college has large playgrounds and facilities for games such as hockey, football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton and athletics.
