Lucknow University is set to introduce mobile jammers for the first time during an entrance examination as part of a comprehensive strategy to ensure a fair and malpractice free admission process. The technology will be deployed during the entrance test for the universitys newly launched five year Integrated BBA-LLB programme, scheduled to be held on Wednesday at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

The newly introduced law programme has witnessed an encouraging response from students, with close to 800 applications received against 180 available seats. Given the high level of competition, the university has strengthened examination security by installing signal jammers at the test centre to restrict mobile network access and eliminate the possibility of electronic assisted cheating.

The university has already made admit cards available on its official website and has issued detailed examination guidelines for candidates. Aspirants have been instructed to wear simple, lightweight clothing without multiple pockets, large buttons, metal zippers or decorative accessories. Caps, scarves, sunglasses, jewellery and other metallic items will not be permitted inside the examination hall. Candidates have also been advised to wear slippers or regular sandals.

Along with a printed admit card, candidates must carry an original valid photo identity proof such as an Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence or PAN Card for verification.

Lucknow University has also prohibited mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, digital watches, electronic gadgets and study materials inside the examination hall as well as on the campus during the test.

Vice Chancellor Prof. J.P. Saini said the Integrated BBA LLB programme is a significant academic initiative aimed at providing students with career oriented legal education. He emphasized that maintaining transparency, fairness and the integrity of the admission process remains the universitys foremost priority.
