Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMNRU) is set to celebrate academic excellence and inclusive achievement at its 13th Convocation Ceremony on July 31, where a total of 156 medals will be conferred upon 130 meritorious students for their outstanding academic performance.

The university has finalised the list of awardees, with medals distributed across three categories—76 Gold, 40 Silver and 40 Bronze medals. The honours reflect not only academic distinction but also the institutions commitment to recognising excellence across diverse student groups.

Among the gold medal recipients, 57 students will be honoured, including 33 female students who will receive 41 gold medals and 26 male students who will be awarded 35 gold medals. The silver medals will be presented to 36 students, while 37 students will receive bronze medals.

Overall, 77 female students will secure 91 medals, significantly outnumbering their male counterparts, with 53 male students receiving 65 medals. The figures underscore the strong academic performance of women students across various disciplines at the university.

One of the defining highlights of this years convocation is the exceptional achievement of students with disabilities, who have collectively earned 45 medals. A total of 27 differently abled students, including 13 women and 14 men, have featured in the medal list. Together, they have secured 22 gold medals, marking the highest ever medal tally achieved by students with disabilities in the universitys convocation history.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjay Singh described the achievement as a milestone for the institution, saying the outstanding performance reflects the determination of the students and the universitys inclusive academic ecosystem. 

The convocation will also witness the conferment of 1,919 degrees, including 955 women graduates and 964 men graduates. Among them, 17 scholars will be awarded PhD degrees, recognising their contribution to advanced research.
