NEET UG 2026 re-exam city slip released; candidates can check allotted exam city online

With the June 21 re-test approaching, aspirants can now view their assigned exam city and make travel arrangements ahead of the admit card release.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the city intimation slip for candidates set to appear in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination. Aspirants can now log in to the official NEET portal and check the city where they will take the medical entrance test scheduled for June 21.
The re-examination is being conducted after the cancellation of the original NEET UG 2026 test held on May 3 amid allegations of a paper leak.
Exam to Be held across India and overseas
According to NTA, the re-test will take place in offline mode from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The examination will be conducted in 551 cities across India and 14 international locations.
Candidates can access their city intimation slip using their application number, date of birth, and security pin through the official websites.
How to check the exam city
To view the allotted examination city, candidates need to:
• Visit the official NEET website.
• Click on the NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination City Intimation Slip link.
• Enter login credentials and submit.
• Check the allotted city displayed on the screen.
• Download and save the slip for future reference.
City slip is not the admit card
NTA has clarified that the city intimation slip is only meant to inform candidates about the city of their examination centre. It does not serve as an admit card and cannot be used for entry into the examination hall.
The admit card, which will include the exact exam centre address, reporting time, and exam-day instructions, is expected to be issued by June 14.
No additional fee for re-test
Earlier, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had confirmed that students would not be charged any additional fee for the re-examination. Candidates were also allowed to choose their preferred examination city while registering for the fresh test.
With the city details now available, candidates are advised to plan their travel and accommodation in advance and keep an eye on official updates regarding the admit card release.
