Lucknow: Lucknow University has announced a significant change in the admission process for its Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) programme. From the 2026-27 academic session, admissions to the four-year B.Pharm course offered by the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences will be conducted through CUET-UG scores. The university will discontinue admissions through the counselling process conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).
Under the revised admission process, candidates seeking admission to the programme must appear for CUET-UG 2026. After the declaration of results, eligible candidates will be required to register through Lucknow University’s admission portal. Admissions will be granted strictly on the basis of a merit list prepared from CUET-UG scores.
The B.Pharm programme has an intake capacity of 60 seats. Applicants must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Mathematics, Biology, or both. English must also have been studied at the intermediate level.
University officials have advised aspiring candidates to regularly check the admission portal for updates regarding registration, merit lists, counselling schedules and other admission-related notifications.
Lucknow University has been offering the four-year B.Pharm programme since 2021. The course is spread across eight semesters, and two batches have graduated so far. Graduates of the programme are pursuing careers in the pharmaceutical industry, higher education and research. The programme has steadily expanded its academic profile and continues to attract students interested in healthcare and life sciences.
