Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University (KMCLU), Lucknow, has received approval from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for its Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) programmes for the academic session 2026–27, marking a significant milestone for the university’s Faculty of Pharmacy.

According to the PCI decision, the D.Pharm programme has been granted an extension of approval with an intake capacity of 60 seats for the 2026–27 academic session. The regulatory body has also approved the conduct of the fourth year of the B.Pharm programme and permitted admissions of 60 students in the first year.

The Faculty of Pharmacy has strengthened its academic ecosystem through modern laboratories, essential learning resources and a student-centric teaching environment, all of which contributed to securing the recognition.

With PCI approval in place, the university is expected to further strengthen its position in pharmacy education and provide students with quality academic training, practical exposure and skill development opportunities. The recognition is likely to enhance career prospects for aspiring pharmacists in sectors such as healthcare services, the pharmaceutical industry, research organisations and academia.

He said the institution would continue to focus on academic excellence and uphold national educational standards while promoting innovation, research and professional development in the field of pharmacy.
