National PG College has finalized the schedule for its undergraduate entrance examinations for the 2026-27 academic session, with tests set to be conducted on July 7, 8 and 9. The revised dates were approved during a recent meeting of the admission committee, offering applicants additional time to prepare for the competitive admission process.

According to Principal Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh, the entrance examinations were initially proposed for June but have now been rescheduled to July. Admissions to B.Sc. (Mathematics) and B.Com programmes will be conducted through the Lucknow University Associated Colleges Common Entrance, while admission to professional courses, including B.Com (Hons), BBA and BCA, will be based on the Lucknow University Associated Colleges Management Admission Test (LUACMAT).

The examination pattern will consist of 40 per cent questions from General Knowledge, General Studies, Elementary Mathematics, Reasoning and Language, while the remaining 60 per cent will be drawn from the relevant subject stream.

Nearly 4,900 applications received so far

With the application window remaining open until May 31, the college has already received 4,872 applications across various undergraduate programmes.

B.Com has emerged as the most popular course, attracting 1,849 applications for 500 seats. B.Com (Honours) has received 978 applications against 120 seats. Similarly, 1,064 candidates have applied for 180 seats in BBA, while BCA has attracted 970 applications for 120 seats.

The strong response highlights the growing demand for commerce and professional education programmes among students seeking admission to the college.
