In a significant step towards strengthening environmental awareness and sustainable innovation, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board and Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University are set to collaborate on a series of joint initiatives focused on pollution control and environmental protection.

The development came during a meeting between UPPCB Chairman Dr. R.P. Singh and DSMNRU Vice Chancellor Acharya Sanjay Singh at the university campus, where both sides discussed a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and future collaboration plans.

University Registrar Rohit Singh said the partnership will focus on large-scale public awareness campaigns through creative mediums such as art, painting and outreach activities to encourage community participation in environmental conservation.

The two institutions also discussed working together on innovation-driven solutions, research initiatives and technology-based interventions aimed at effective pollution management and sustainable environmental practices.

A university delegation is expected to visit the Pollution Control Board on Wednesday to finalise the roadmap for collaborative programmes and the proposed MoU.

“Environmental protection is not just the responsibility of the government, but a collective social commitment. Through awareness, research and innovation, both institutions will work towards meaningful pollution control measures,” said Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjay Singh.
