NTA extends SWAYAM January 2026 registration deadline till May 13; exams from June 17

Students now get extra time to apply for nearly 900 online courses, while correction window will open from May 15 to 17

The National Testing Agency has extended the registration deadline for the SWAYAM January 2026 examination cycle, offering relief to students who were unable to complete their applications within the earlier schedule.

According to the revised timeline, candidates can now submit their application forms for SWAYAM examinations till May 13, 2026, while the last date for fee payment is May 14, 2026.

The agency has also announced that the application correction window will remain open from May 15 to May 17, allowing candidates to make necessary changes in their submitted forms.

The SWAYAM January 2026 examinations are scheduled to be conducted from June 17 to June 21, 2026. Exams will be held in two shifts and will take place in both Computer-Based Test (CBT) and pen-and-paper modes.

SWAYAM, the Government of India’s online learning platform, currently offers nearly 900 courses across multiple disciplines, enabling students, working professionals, and lifelong learners to access quality education from leading institutions.
