Campus Times | Lucknow
Lucknow University has announced a significant update to its admission process for the 2026–27 academic session under its Central Admission System. For the first time, candidates with valid CAT 2025 scores will be given priority admission consideration for MBA and MBA in Tourism and Travel Management (MBA-TTM) programmes.
CAT-Based Priority Admission in First Phase
According to the official notification, the admission process for Management Professional Programmes will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, admissions will be offered strictly on the basis of CAT 2025 percentile scores.
Candidates belonging to the general category must have secured a minimum of 50 percentile in CAT 2025 to be eligible to apply for this phase. Eligible applicants will be required to fill out the online application form through the university’s official website.
Seat Intake and Course Details
The university has allocated a total of 900 seats for the MBA programme and 75 seats for the MBA-TTM programme. These admissions will primarily be completed through the CAT-based selection process in the first phase.
Second Phase Through LUMET 2026
After the completion of the CAT-based admission round, any remaining vacant seats will be filled through the Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (LUMET-2026). Final selection in this phase will be based on performance in the written examination.
Application Deadline
Candidates seeking admission to MBA or MBA-TTM programmes must submit their applications online through the university portal by June 15. Applicants using CAT scores must also ensure that their percentile details are correctly entered in the application form, as it is mandatory for eligibility verification.
This revised admission structure aims to streamline the selection process while giving added weightage to national-level entrance test performance, offering students a more competitive and transparent pathway into management education at Lucknow University.
