LU Online Courses Go Live: Academic Calendar Sets Clear Study Roadmap for Students

From structured unit plans to dedicated assignment windows, the new schedule aims to keep learners on track

Online courses at University of Lucknow have officially begun from Monday, 27 April, 2026, with the release of a comprehensive academic calendar designed to streamline learning for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The schedule, issued by the university’s Center for Online and Distance Education, lays out clear timelines for coursework, assignments, and discussion forums.

UG Courses Get Structured Timeline

For undergraduate programmes such as B.Com and BBA, students from batches ranging between January-February 2026 and January-February 2024 have started their first unit from April 27, which will continue till May 16. The assignment submission and discussion forum window is scheduled from May 16 to May 22.

The second unit will run from May 17 to June 5, followed by submissions between June 5 and June 11. The third unit is planned from June 6 to June 25, with assignment deadlines extending till July 1. The fourth unit will be covered from June 26 to July 15, and the final submission window will remain open till July 21.

PG Courses Follow Phased Learning Plan

Postgraduate programmes including MBA, M.Com, MSW, MA in Political Science, Economics, and English are also underway with a phased academic structure. The first unit, already in progress since April 27, will conclude on May 12, followed by assignment submissions from May 12 to May 18.

The second unit is scheduled from May 13 to May 28, while the third will run between May 29 and June 13. The fourth unit is set from June 14 to June 29, and the fifth and final unit will take place from June 30 to July 15, marking course completion.

With clearly defined milestones and interactive learning components, the university is focusing on maintaining academic momentum while ensuring flexibility and engagement for students enrolled in its online programmes.
