UP Board Results 2026 Declared: Girls Outshine Boys in Both Class 10 and 12

With over 53 lakh students appearing. Sitapur’s Shikha Verma topped Class 12, while Class 10 saw joint toppers.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has officially declared the Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) results for 2026, bringing relief and excitement to over 53 lakh students across the state. This year too, girls have outperformed boys in both examinations, continuing a consistent trend of academic excellence.

The board examinations were conducted from February 18 to March 12, 2026, across nearly 8,000 centers in Uttar Pradesh. A total of 53,37,778 students had registered, including 27,61,696 for Class 10 and 25,76,082 for Class 12. Students can check their results on the official website: upresults.nic.in.

Class 10 (High School) Results 2026

The Class 10 results have showcased exceptional performances from students across various districts. Topping the state are Kashish Verma from Sitapur and Anshika Verma from Barabanki, both scoring an impressive 97.83%.

Aditi from Barabanki secured the second position with 97.5%, while the third position was jointly held by Arpita (Sitapur), Rishabh Sahu from Jhansi, and Pari Verma from Barabanki, each scoring 97.33%.

In terms of overall performance, girls have significantly outperformed boys. A total of 11,79,319 girls passed with a remarkable pass percentage of 93.76%, while 11,72,862 boys cleared the exam with a pass percentage of 87.30%. This marks a notable gap of 6.46% in favor of girls.

Class 12 (Intermediate) Results 2026

In the Intermediate results, Shikha Verma from Sitapur emerged as the state topper with an outstanding 97.60%. The second position was jointly secured by Nandini Gupta from Bareilly and Shreya Verma from Barabanki, both scoring 97.20%.

The third rank was shared by Surbhi Yadav (Bareilly) and Pooja Pal (Barabanki), each securing 97%.

The overall pass percentage for Class 12 stands at 80.38%. Girls once again led the results with a pass percentage of 86.32%, compared to 75.04% among boys, highlighting a consistent gender performance gap.

Second Chance Through Compartment Exams

For students who could not meet the minimum passing marks, the board has provided an opportunity through compartment examinations. This allows candidates to reappear in specific subjects and improve their scores without losing an academic year.
