The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, marking an auspicious start to the proceedings. The welcome address was delivered by event coordinator Prof. Tanveer Khadija, who emphasized the continued relevance of literature in shaping critical thinking, creativity, and cultural awareness.

The program was smoothly conducted by faculty members Ms. Shikha Singh and Ms. Sadaf Fatima. Students presented a wide range of performances including poetry recitations, mime acts, musical performances, and a short discussion on the ideas of French philosophers.

Macbeth Takes Center Stage with a Powerful Student Performance

A major highlight of the event was a powerful stage adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth performed by undergraduate and postgraduate students, which received strong appreciation from the audience for its engaging execution. A student presentation on the history of theatrical traditions further enriched the academic dimension of the program.

Artistic Expression Through Poetry, Mime, and Music

The event also featured performative poetry, adding emotional depth and artistic expression to the proceedings. A mime performance by a B.A. second-semester student was widely appreciated, while a soulful musical presentation by another student captivated the audience.

The program concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where Prof. Tanveer Khadija and Dr. Haroon Rashid honored the participating students and faculty members for their outstanding contributions.

The event highlighted the importance of literary and cultural platforms in nurturing creativity, collaboration, and confidence among students, encouraging them to actively participate in academic and artistic pursuits beyond the classroom.
