The atmosphere was filled with pride and emotion as alumni returned to the very corridors where they once sat dreaming of a bright future—now as successful officers in the prestigious civil services. On Friday, Lucknow Public School (C.P. Singh Foundation), Ahiyaraipur branch, organised the ‘Back to School – Alumni Interaction Series’.

The programme honoured Divya Srivastava, who secured the 418th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, and Gaurav Sony, who achieved the 13th rank in UPPSC 2024 and is now serving as a Treasury Officer.

The event commenced with Principal Amit Pathak welcoming both alumni with bouquets. During the session, they shared their journeys and offered valuable success tips to the students.

A Strong Foundation is the Basis of Success

Addressing the students, Divya Srivastava turned emotional while recalling her school days. She credited LPS and its teachers for building a strong foundation that helped her achieve this milestone. Encouraging students, she advised them not to follow the crowd but to set their own goals and pursue them with passion.

Speaking about the growing influence of social media, she noted that while many aspire to become content creators by following trends, discipline—both internal and external—is crucial for success. She urged students to remain accountable to themselves and their parents, as such accountability helps keep distractions at bay.

Discipline and Curiosity Lead to the Pinnacle

Gaurav Sony, who secured the 13th rank in UPPSC, emphasised the importance of parents, teachers, and friends in shaping one’s success. He encouraged students to maintain discipline and a constant curiosity to learn.

Describing school life as the ideal phase for personality development, he advised students to diversify their skills and make consistency their strongest asset. He also acknowledged the significant role LPS played in shaping his personality.

On this occasion, Principal Amit Pathak presented mementos to both alumni and remarked that Divya and Gaurav are shining examples of perseverance, inspiring the younger generation.

Old Classrooms, Same Memories: Alumni Turn Emotional

Following the session, Divya and Gaurav toured the campus, visiting the classrooms where they once studied. Meeting their former teachers, they became emotional and sought their blessings.

They also interacted with students in classrooms, sharing detailed study tips and strategies. Recalling their school days, both alumni fondly cherished the memories they had created on campus. A large number of teachers and students were present to witness this proud and inspiring moment.
