The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the first list for Balvatika admissions for the 2026 academic session, bringing relief to thousands of parents awaiting confirmation of their child’s entry into the central school system.

The list has been made available on the official KVS website kvsangathan.nic.in . In addition, respective Kendriya Vidyalayas have displayed the selection lists on their notice boards for the convenience of parents.

According to officials, parents of selected candidates are required to complete document verification and other admission formalities within the prescribed deadline. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

KVS has been gradually expanding its Balvatika programme as part of its focus on strengthening foundational learning. The move has led to a steady rise in demand for pre-primary seats across Kendriya Vidyalayas.

The Balvatika initiative aims to provide early childhood education within the KVS framework, aligning with the broader objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) to promote structured learning at the foundational level.
