BBAU’s B.B. Malik Rises to VC Post in Odisha, Marks Big Academic Leap

In a major academic leap that underscores the rising influence of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Prof. B.B. Malik, Head of the Department of Sociology, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Rajendra University, Odisha—adding another feather to the university’s growing leadership footprint across India.
The appointment is being seen as a moment of pride for the university, reflecting its growing presence in higher education leadership at the national level. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal congratulated Prof. Malik, describing the development as a recognition of both his academic credentials and the institution’s strength.
