New Hope, New Beginning’: LPS Sector-I Hosts Parents’ Orientation

Lucknow Public School (C.P. Singh Foundation), Sector-I Branch, organised a vibrant Parents’ Orientation Programme themed “New Hope and New Beginning” to mark the commencement of the new academic session. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the parents of newly admitted students, creating a positive atmosphere that strengthened the bond between the school and guardians. The primary objective of the programme was to bridge the gap between the institution and parents while fostering a shared vision for the students’ future.

During the session, parents were extensively briefed about the school’s core values, disciplinary guidelines, and administrative regulations.

The programme commenced with a soulful rendition of a Vandana followed by a graceful dance performance by the students. Welcoming the gathering, Principal Rakesh Singh emphasised the school’s commitment to excellence and warmly greeted the parents into the LPS family. The orientation session featured Vice Principal Sonika Banerjee and Head Mistress Kawaljeet Kaur as the key resource persons.

Addressing the parents, the speakers highlighted that when schools and parents work in close partnership, children receive strong roots to grow and resilient wings to fly. Kawaljeet Kaur explained that the main objective of the session was to sensitise parents towards the school’s focus on the holistic development of every child, including academic, social, emotional and physical growth. She also enriched parents’ understanding of the new curriculum designed in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020. Detailed information regarding school timings, rules and regulations, and essential classroom etiquette was shared to ensure a smooth transition for students.

Navigating the New Curriculum and Skill Enhancement

Sonika Banerjee delivered an insightful presentation on the pivotal role of parents in a child’s educational journey. She explained the exam patterns, community outreach activities, and various co-curricular programmes offered by the school. She also highlighted the scheme of studies, assessment schedules, and specialised skill enhancement programmes aimed at nurturing the unique talents of every student.

The programme concluded on a positive note as parents were provided with kits containing student ID cards and school diaries, marking the beginning of a promising academic journey for the students.
