Free Health Camp at BBAU Benefits 100 Students, Staff and Families

Doctors conduct BP, sugar and Hemoglobin tests; specialists provide health consultations at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University

A free health camp at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University on March 11 witnessed participation from nearly 100 students, teachers, employees, and their family members, who benefited from medical check-ups and expert consultations.

Health Tests Conducted

The camp was held under the joint aegis of the University Health Centre, Bhagini Nivedita Women Development Cell, BBAU, and Nelson Medicity Super Speciality Hospital. During the camp, participants underwent blood pressure, blood sugar and Hemoglobin tests, while specialist doctors also provided medical consultations.

Focus on Preventive Healthcare

University Chief Medical Officer Vikas Srivastava said such health camps are organized regularly to ensure the well-being of the university community. He noted that these initiatives help raise awareness about health issues and provide an opportunity for people to consult experienced doctors.

Doctors Provide Expert Advice

Specialist doctors, including Gynecologist Nidhi Singh and physician Naman Upadhyay, addressed health concerns of participants and offered guidance on treatment and preventive care.

Chairperson of Bhagini Nivedita Women Development Cell Suman Mishra and Medical Officer Harshita Singh were also present during the camp.

Strengthening Preventive Care

Doctors also advised participants to maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly and undergo periodic health check-ups to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and early detection of diseases within the university community.
