Pink Job Fair in Lucknow: 2,765 Women Get Jobs, 78 Land Dubai Offers

The women’s employment, 2,765 young women secured job offers at the Pink Employment Fair organised in Lucknow on Sunday. The event, held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, was organised by the Labour and Employment Department to mark International Women’s Day, drawing thousands of aspirants seeking career opportunities.

The recruitment fair was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who also distributed appointment letters to 37 candidates on stage, encouraging young women to pursue financial independence and professional growth.

New Avenues for Women

The employment fair also opened international career opportunities for candidates. Seventy-eight young women were selected by three major companies based in Dubai, offering them the chance to work abroad with competitive salary packages and additional benefits.

4,000 Applicants, 2,765 Job Offers

According to officials, around 4,000 candidates participated in the fair. After interviews and screening based on qualifications and skills, 2,765 applicants received job offers across multiple industries.

More than 50 companies participated in the recruitment drive, representing sectors such as automobile, e-commerce, electronics, food processing, healthcare, iron and steel, retail, telecom, textiles and BPO services. Salary packages offered during the fair ranged from ₹50,000 to ₹1.15 lakh per month, depending on the role and company.

Overseas Job Safety Assured

Pradeep Pandey, a representative of a Dubai-based company, said a large number of women showed interest in overseas employment. He assured that selected candidates would receive accommodation and food facilities from the company, while both Indian and Dubai authorities would ensure their safety and welfare.

Jobs for Local Candidates

One graduate from Lucknow said she cleared interviews in four different companies and is awaiting the final confirmation after document verification. She described the fair as a valuable opportunity for young women, with several companies offering entry-level salaries ranging between ₹15,000 and ₹25,000 per month.

Step Toward Women’s Employement

Despite minor delays in issuing appointment letters to two candidates during the ceremony, the Pink Employment Fair was widely seen as a significant initiative to enhance employment opportunities and promote economic independence among women in Uttar Pradesh.

The large turnout and strong participation from companies highlight the growing focus on women’s workforce participation and skill-based employment opportunities in the state.
