The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the notification for Circle Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment 2026, inviting online applications for 2,273 vacancies across various SBI Circles in India. This recruitment drive offers a major opportunity for experienced banking professionals to join India’s largest public sector bank as officers.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 29 January 2026 to 18 February 2026 through the official SBI careers portal sbi.bank.in.

Vacancy & Posting Rules

• Vacancies are circle-wise and category-wise
• Candidates can apply for only one SBI Circle
• Posting will be limited to the applied Circle
• Inter-circle transfer not permitted up to SMGS-IV promotion or 12 years of service

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Graduation in any discipline (Engineering, Medical, CA, Cost Accountant also eligible)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or RBI-listed RRB (as on 31 Dec 2025)
• Private Bank Officers: Must have minimum ₹9.50 lakh annual gross salary with documentary proof
• Local Language: Mandatory proficiency unless studied in Class 10 or 12

Age Limit (As on 31 December 2025)

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 30 years
• Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per rules

Salary & Benefits

• Basic Pay: ₹48,480
• Pay Scale: 48480–85920
• Two advance increments applicable
• Additional benefits include DA, HRA/Lease Rental, CCA, PF, NPS, medical facilities, and LFC

Selection Process

1. Online Exam (Objective + Descriptive)
2. Screening of experience & profile
3. Interview (50 marks)
4. Local Language Proficiency Test (if applicable)

 Final merit will be prepared with 75% weightage to online exam and 25% to interview, circle-wise.
