Lucknow Shines in CISCE 2026 Results: Osheen Agrawal, Shivam & Vaivaswat Lead with Stellar Scores

City students deliver exceptional performance as ICSE and ISC pass percentages soar above 99%

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results on April 30, 2026, bringing widespread celebration across the city. Once again, Lucknow students demonstrated remarkable academic excellence, achieving outstanding scores and maintaining the city’s strong educational reputation.
Leading the ISC (Class 12) achievers, Osheen Agrawal from City Montessori School secured an exceptional 99.75%. She was joined at the top by Sanskriti Chandel, Chhavi Mishra (both from City Montessori School), and Zainab Fatima from the Aliganj branch of the same institution, all scoring 99.75%.
In the ICSE (Class 10) results, Shivam Awasthi from Lucknow Public College and Vaivaswat Narayan from CMS Gomti Nagar emerged as the city topper with an impressive 99.80%, setting the highest benchmark this year.
ISC (Class 12) Toppers in Lucknow
Apart from the joint toppers, several students delivered outstanding performances. Ridhi Tiwari from La Martiniere Girls’ College scored 99.40%, followed by Prakhar Singh from St. Joseph’s College, and Naira Safi Khan and Vaanya Mehra from La Martiniere Girls’ College, each securing 99.25%. Pratham Gupta from Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School also stood out with an impressive 97.75%, adding to the list of high achievers.
ICSE (Class 10) Toppers in Lucknow
In the ICSE results, after city topper Shivam Awasthi and Vaivashwat Narayan, Zahra Fatima and Anay Agarwal from City Montessori School scored 99.6%. Ridhi Tiwari from La Martiniere Girls’ College scored 99.40%, followed by Samarth from City Montessori School with 99.20%.
Prisha Singh from La Mart secured 98.80%, while Yashasvi Anika Tandon and Ipshita Seth, both from La Martiniere Girls’ College, achieved 98.40%. Ayushi from Rani Laxmi Bai Memorial School also delivered a commendable performance with 98.20%.
Result Highlights
The ICSE examinations were conducted from February 17 to March 30, while the ISC examinations took place between February 12 and April 3.
This year, the ICSE (Class 10) recorded an overall pass percentage of 99.18%, with girls outperforming boys—achieving 99.46% compared to 98.93% for boys.
Similarly, the ISC (Class 12) results reflected a pass percentage of 99.13%, with girls again leading at 99.48%, while boys secured 98.81%.
Toppers Credit Smart Study and Consistency for Success
Dispelling the myth that long study hours are the only path to success, this year’s toppers emphasized focused preparation, conceptual clarity, and disciplined revision as the keys to their outstanding performance. Most students limited their study time to a few productive hours daily while consciously staying away from distractions such as social media.
Zainab Fatima (99.75%, Class 12, CMS Aliganj) shared that her strategy revolved around studying just three to four hours daily with complete focus. She emphasized understanding concepts over rote learning, along with regular revision and minimal use of internet media. Aspiring to join the civil services, she believes that “even limited time, when used in the right direction, can lead to great success.”
Sanskriti Chandel (99.75%, Class 12, CMS Gomti Nagar) highlighted the importance of smart study over long hours. She credited effective time management and self-prepared notes for her achievement. With ambitions of becoming an engineer, she noted that success depends on directed effort rather than the number of hours spent studying.
Chhavi Mishra (99.75%, Class 12, CMS Gomti Nagar) attributed her success to focused preparation and a clear understanding of subjects, which boosted her confidence during exams. Backed by consistent guidance from teachers and family, she aims to pursue engineering and contribute to technological innovation.
Osheen Agrawal (99.75%, Class 12, CMS Mahanagar) stressed that quality of study matters more than quantity. She focused on conceptual learning and repeated revision, supported by constant encouragement from her parents and teachers. With a goal of becoming an IAS officer, she believes consistency and self-confidence are the true pillars of success.
In the ICSE (Class 10) category, Vaivaswat Narayan Dubey (99.80%, CMS Gomti Nagar) said he maintained a disciplined routine of five to six hours of study daily, focusing on understanding each subject and revising regularly. He credited proper time management and strong support from mentors for his achievement, and aspires to become an engineer in the future.
