The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications for its 2026 paid internship programme at the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), along with its research cell DIBER, Haldwani. This initiative is aimed at final-year undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students seeking practical exposure in defence research.

Who Can Apply?
Students must meet specific academic and eligibility criteria to be considered:
Must be in the final year during the 2026–27 academic session
Pursuing full-time B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech from a UGC/AICTE-recognized institution
Belong to relevant engineering streams such as Electronics, Electrical, Biotechnology, Computer Science, and related fields
Must not have any active backlogs at the time of application
Stipend and Attendance Requirements
Unlike many research internships, DRDO offers financial support to selected candidates:
Total Stipend: ₹30,000 for six months
Payment Structure: Two instalments of ₹15,000 each (after 3 months and upon completion)
Attendance Rule: Minimum 15 days per month is mandatory to qualify for the stipend

Selection Process
