In a significant push to India’s growing startup ecosystem, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) emerged as a vibrant hub of innovation as it hosted the high-energy Saksham Yatra on April 6. The event brought together students, industry leaders, and academicians, creating a dynamic platform to transform ideas into real-world ventures aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Organized in collaboration with Bachpan Play School Chain, the initiative went beyond conventional learning, offering students a hands-on entrepreneurial experience.
VC talks about Startups Key of India’s Future
Presiding over the session, Vice-Chancellor Raj Kumar Mittal emphasized that startups are central to India’s future growth. He urged universities to actively foster innovation ecosystems, enabling students to think beyond traditional career paths.
“India’s future will not depend only on large industries, but on youth-led startups and micro-enterprises,” he noted, stressing the need to revive the country’s legacy as a global innovation hub.
Response on Vision of Saksham Yatra
Chief Guest Ajay Gupta highlighted the broader vision of Saksham Yatra, a national-level initiative under Kamyab Grants. The 9-day journey is engaging young innovators across cities including Ayodhya, Lucknow, Agra, Mathura, and Jaipur.
A key highlight of the program was the promise of equity-free grants, expert mentorship, and real startup exposure, offering students a rare opportunity to build scalable ventures without financial constraints.
Participants showcased ideas in areas such as education, inclusion, and disability empowerment, reflecting a growing trend of socially responsible entrepreneurship among youth.
